Dye University, located in Changhua County, Taiwan Province, China, was founded in March 1990 as "Dye Institute of Technology" and renamed as "Dye University" in 1997. In February 2015, The Spanish Metrology World University Rankings ranked 6% ahead of 22,000 universities in the world. Among the 159 universities in Taiwan, the rankings improved to 49th, ahead of 110 public and private universities. In addition, according to the 2013 Best Universities list of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan (about 180 universities) released by China Alumni Association, the University ranked 42nd , Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan ranked in the top quarter of the best universities.
